Ways To Give

Planned Giving

Your generous gifts help RCS offer life enriching and innovative programming to empower individuals with disabilities to reach for their dreams. There are many ways to invest in RCS Empowers and benefit your local community.

Memorial

Memorial donations made to RCS Empowers are to celebrate the life of a loved one. An endowment fund is a permanent, self-sustaining source of funding given by a donor. Endowment assets are invested. Each year, the interest generated from the endowment is paid out to support the donor’s specific purpose for the fund, and any earnings in excess of this distribution are used to build the fund’s principal value. In this way, an endowment fund can grow and provide support for its designated purpose that continues forever. When you establish an endowment fund, you create a permanent legacy of support for RCS.

In Honor

Give a gift to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, retirement or other special occasions by making a donation on behalf of someone special.

Unrestricted Giving

Give a cash donation that allows us to fund programs which need it most. Government and state funding have been declining year after year because of budget constraints. RCS receives only 37% of its revenue from government and state funding to operate current programs. 100% of your donation goes to RCS.

Estate Planning

Donate Property or Stock
Property or stock are a welcome gift to RCS and produce a valuable tax break for donors.

Donate Retirement Accounts (IRA, 401(k), 403(b), and Keogh plans)
Donating a retirement account is a straightforward and tax-effective way to support RCS Empowers. You simply designate RCS Empowers as the beneficiary on your account. Because RCS is a 501(c)(3) we are exempt from both income and estate taxes, we can receive 100% of the account’s value. You can then leave non-retirement assets, which don’t have the same income tax burden, to your heirs.

Leave a financial gift in your will
The simplest way to include a charitable contribution to RCS is through your will. The amount you give won’t reduce your income taxes, but it could reduce your taxable estate, potentially increasing the amount you’ll be able to leave to your heirs.
