Our play productions empower participants and give them dignity, self-esteem, respect for self and others, humor, knowledge, as well as a love for the theater, music, and the arts! Family members, caregivers, friends, and the community benefit from seeing participants help prepare or perform in the plays. Participant talents are showcased through acting, the creation of props, costume development, and socialization. Truly a community event, the annual play is an endeavor which brings together actors and actresses, with and without disabilities, to perform together each year.
Shine On is an RCS annual holiday festival. Attendees stroll through the holiday trees, wreaths, and specialty items decorated and donated by people who continue to “Shine On” in our community. This fundraising event benefits RCS initiatives such as expanding our Autism services and developing Disability Sensitivity Training for local businesses.
