Shine On – A “Virtual” Holiday Festival
For the past four years, RCS Empowers, Inc. has kicked off the season of cheer and giving with Shine On, a holiday festival many have come to love and support. Join in on the fun! This festive event includes great food, wine, touching stories about RCS participants and incredible online auction items!
Shine on 2021 is taking place virtually on Friday, November 12, 2021. Your participation in this event plays an important role in our mission to empower individuals with disabilities and special needs so they may work, live and function with dignity and respect. As our largest fundraiser of the year, support of this event allows us to enhance programming for our RCS participants.
A majority of funds raised from this year’s event will help us fill a pressing need to redesign our learning spaces. Providing our learning spaces with specialized and flexible educational classroom furniture will positively enhance the learning experience for all our participants. Updated classroom furniture will be modular, adaptive and ergonomically suitable while being comfortable.
Support A Great Cause
We truly wouldn’t be where we are today without the generous support of so many wonderful individuals and businesses. There are several ways you can help make Shine On 2021 a success:
Event Registration – Visit rcsshineon.com to register. Registration includes access to our Shine On online program taking place at 6:30pm on Friday, November 12, 2021. During this program, you’ll hear touching stories of our RCS participants and musical entertainment. With this link, you’ll also have access to our incredible online auction.
Upgrade Your Experience – Hurry! Time is running out to purchase tickets to our Virtual Dinner Party. This includes a dinner and wine pairing from The Black Pig and Vintage Elkhart. The last day to order dinner is November 4, 2021.
Purchase A Shine On Ornament – Josue Hernandez-Perez was selected as this year’s Shine On Ornament Artist at the recommendation of RCS Staff and peers. Josue is new to RCS but since starting in the Day Service Program in June of 2021, he has built many strong connections with his peers through his artwork. He enjoys creating custom art pieces for his friends and particularly likes to express his creativity through sketch work.
Make A Donation – If you feel so inclined, choose to help our cause by contributing to our fundraising efforts. No act of generosity is too small to make a difference.
We are SO excited for this year’s event and it’s just days away! Thank you so much for your support! Be sure to follow us on Facebook or Instagram for updates about the event and the sharing of items as they are added to our online auction.
