RCS Program Manager Honored at Local Awards Banquet

May 16, 2022

The Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce honors its area young professionals each year through the Best Under 40 Awards Gala. Awards are presented in four categories: Top Young Professional of the Year, Community Volunteer of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, and Top Ten Young Professionals. Participants must be nominated by someone in the community and complete a questionnaire. A Chamber Committee then selects the winners in each category. This year, RCS Empowers’ Individual Placement & Support Program Manager, Jenn Haneman, earned a spot in the Top Ten Young Professionals.

Jenn Haneman is a Sheboygan County resident, and her answers to the questionnaire are a testament to why she was selected for this award. To start with, she’s incredibly involved in the community, serving as a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador and co-chair for Leadership Sheboygan County. Haneman has also been a critical member of the team which created the Sheboygan County Drug & Alcohol Treatment Court.  This program is an intensive program designed to break the cycle of substance abuse. Haneman’s work has pushed this program to be one of the top in the nation. In her own words: “My program has been interviewed by the National team and Program Founders to gather information for increased research in regards to new populations we are serving; we are a very innovative program. We are fearless when it comes to trying new things and serving new populations. I have been interviewed and recognized on the national level for the innovative work we are doing with the Drug & Alcohol Treatment Court; we are the first program in the state to serve this population.”

Lynn Justinger, Human Services Manager of RCS, has this to say of Haneman: “Jenn has been instrumental in the development and growth of our Individual Placement and Support Program, which has led to many successful outcomes and has made a positive impact on the lives of youth and adults with significant mental health needs in our community.” It’s so clear why Jenn was acknowledged as one of this year’s Best Under 40. Congratulations, Jenn!
