Journey to Employment

Obtaining employment can be a complex process. Our highly skilled employment services team will assist individuals to recognize their abilities, understand their support needs and will help them to achieve their employment outcomes.

Pre-Employment & Exploration

Our pre-employment and exploration services empower people to develop employability skill sets through a variety of opportunities. This may include work in our production areas completing packaging, light assembly, and other subcontract work. We also offer janitorial work within our building.

Employment classes and Job Club offer opportunities to learn about the world of work, develop job-seeking skills, identify employment strengths and interests, and prepare individuals for employment in the community. This is done through small and large group classes, guest speakers, visits to area businesses, and volunteering in the community.

Development & Support

RCS staff will work with individuals to obtain and maintain competitive integrated employment in the community that aligns with their individual goals. This usually is accomplished in partnership with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation or the Social Security Administration.

Our qualified team members will work with job seekers to develop job seeking skills such as how to complete job applications, resume writing, and interview preparation. They then partner with area businesses to match open positions with the job seekers unique skill set.

After employment is obtained, RCS staff are able to provide ongoing support on the job as necessary.

Ticket to Work

This program supports career development for Social Security disability beneficiaries age 18 through 64 who want to work. The Ticket to Work Program is free and voluntary and helps people with disabilities progress toward financial independence.

Benefits Analysis

People receiving Social Security and other benefits need to understand what happens to their benefits when they decide to pursue an employment opportunity. At RCS, we have a Benefits Specialist on staff that can help with understanding how earnings may affect your disability benefit payments, healthcare, and other publicly funded benefits.
