Home » 2022 Shine On Event Most Successful To Date
Our 5th Annual Shine On – A Holiday Tree Festival was held on site over one month ago! We are extremely thrilled to announce that this year’s fundraising event was the most successful to date!
Our VIP event was hosted on Friday, November 11th and was complete with savory heavy hors d’oeuvres, silent and live auction and (of course) holiday cheer. On Saturday, November 12th we opened our agency to the community with local high school music students, face painters and Dare to Dream Theater’s Anna, Elsa and Olaf. In addition, Santa Claus and his holiday tree sidekick made time in their busy schedule to meet and greet children.
As in past events, our Shine On fundraiser utilizes the funds raised for a purpose. A few examples of fundraising efforts in the past have included – the creation of Trailside Park, enhancement of remote learning services and classroom upgrades. This year, we set a goal to raise $250,000 for the transformation of the garden greenspace across from our agency. The parcel of land will provide accessible opportunities for our participants and the community to enjoy beautifully developed outdoor space and will be a destination for welcoming the community to connect and interact with individuals with disabilities. This collaboration elevates the diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in Sheboygan County.
As we continue to develop a plan for the space, we are endlessly thankful for the companies, individuals and organizations who have supported our efforts thus far.
